A rousing science fiction/conspiracy/monster thriller that comes so very close to being "neo-pulp"! Waller has given us a thrill-a-minute chase adventure that blends ancient mysteries in an exotic locale with shadowy government agencies in pursuit of a team of daring scientists (and don't forget the monsters!) I would have liked more exploration of the monsters and I want to know what happens next!!!Why only "neo-pulp"? I think there should be at least two more adventures featuring the scientists to qualify!

I am an avid reader of books on the "Hollow Earth" subject, however, what a disappointment to discover that Mr Waller's book on 'This Hollow Earth' was simply a fictional novel. It is a great pity that this fact was not highlighted in the description of the book. Had it been described as a fiction novel, I certainly would not have purchased it. No stars for a rating.
I wanted a book about Machu Picchu, and although it is mention, this book takes place underground, way underground with some really unexpected danger!
